字仲儒，洛阳市人，唐朝著名的牡丹栽培专家，柳宗元在《龙城录》中说他“善吟诗，亦能种艺术。凡牡丹变色千种，红白斗色，人不能知其术”。他为牡丹的培育和发展作出了非常伟大的贡献，堪称世界上最早的园艺大师。
